These were speaking tests for one class. Rather than give them the usual rote memorization assignment, I had them write fairy tales and give puppet shows.

Outcast Diary

Beautiful elementary school has one outcast.
Her name is Silly.
She is so ugly, and dirty, so everyone hate her.
Also, many teacher hate her, too.

One day Silly have new classmate.

Silly: Hi~ Friend!

Classmate: What? What are you talking about! I'm not your friend! Please shut up your mouse. [mouth?]

After that, Silly is so sad and she determined [to] correction of deformities face lifting.
So she go to the hospital and change everything.
Wow! She is so pretty.
And she change name!
Now she name is Beauty.

Beauty: Hi~ Everyone!

Classmate: Oh~ Who are you? You're very pretty!

Beautiful Girl: Uh! I'm not pretty. Ho Ho Ho.

[Is Beautiful Girl the same as Beauty? Or someone else? Not sure.]

Now she became a popular girl, but . . .

Beauty: Hi! Jack!

Jack: Ye-Yes! Hi!

Beauty: Jack! I have a problem.

Jack: Why!!!

Beauty: I want drink milk but I don't have money now! How can I do?

Jack: Don't worry about it! I'll get milk for you. Please wait~

Jack: Here! Beauty~ It is cold milk.

Beauty: No! I want hot one. You're so silly!

Jack: But now is summer! Beauty?

Beauty: Silly boy! Please shut up.

Beauty is so pretty.
Beauty is very bad.
So everyone hate her.
Now on, she become a outcast again!
And everyone hate her more than last!
