A few things have to be kept in mind whenever reading stories "from" North Korea. Pretty much all news comes through a few anti-North Korean activists who cultivate communication channels with dissidents inside North Korea and refugees who have recently run the border. Several of them have religious motivations and ties with the South Korean evangelical community, who remain the most actively interested audience for news from North Korea. This is transparently obvious in this article.

Pyongyang restaurants sell food by day, sex by night
Recently, a Mr. Kim (39), a resident of Kumsong Ward in Pyongyang city's Mangyongdae district, said on Open Radio for North Korea, "Since the 2000s prosititution began to popular in the general restaurants in Pyongyang, and now it is spreading even further."

After reading about some of the assholes spouting bullshit about the Japan earthquake, I was curious to see how the event was covered in North Korea. After all, pretty much no one hates Japan as much as the DPRK. So, I turned to Asia's finest news source, the Rodong Sinmun.

I'm a little confused about this new peace accord with North Korea.
The North Korea agreement, announced in Beijing on Wednesday, sets out the first specific timetable for the North to disclose all its nuclear programs and disable all facilities in return for 950,000 metric tons of fuel oil or its equivalent in economic aid.
Isn't this pretty much the same as the old Carter agreement? The one that Congress smothered? The one that made Bush and Co. rant away about appeasement?
