Garbage.

Yesterday I saw a garbage can on fire. It was a covered garbage can at a bus stop. I couldn't see the flames, but the outside was hot to the touch and there was smoke billowing out everywhere. I watched it for about 15 minutes, and nothing happened. People would come over and look at it curiously and continue walking. I wonder what the fate of a garbage can on fire in the US would be. I felt sad for the garbage can. It wasn't getting any of the usual attention that something on fire normally gets. It is a very sad and lonely existence, that of a flaming garbage can in Korea.
